Restoration & Changes

What started out as a pretty upsetting day, turned into a wonderful testimony of God's hand of healing, restoration, and new direction.

Everyone was ready for church on time, and then something (that I wont go into detail about) happened and it resulted in my having to stay home. I was very upset, I so wanted to be in church today, to be with the saints celebrating the resurrection of our Lord. Kev and the kids went off to church and I stayed home with Ruth. Her and I played for a little bit, then I did a few chores, then she went up for nap time.

When I cleaned up her mess, I sat down at the pc to read the news, and saw my friend Michael online, on msn messenger. I wasn't sure if he was actually there or not, but his name was there.

Over the last week or so, Michael and I have gone through a real rough time. We've been friends for many years, and he's like a brother to me. Over the last few days though, without going into alot of detail, we'd had an extremely large... issue. Feelings were hurt, things were said, all that junk.

I took a chance and messaged him, simply to say I miss him, and that I hope he would have a blessed resurrection day celebration. He immediately answered back and told me he missed me too, that he was sorry for his part in the recent stuff, and we just had a wonderful conversation. So I sat there and cried happy tears, instead of grievous tears. Had either one of us been able to be in church today, the conversation would have never happened - so this was God's hand all over this (note: this is never an excuse to skip church! lol) For those of you who know both Michael and me, you will understand just what a great blessing this has been to both of us, and how this is major progress towards healing alot of 'stuff' that has recently transpired. So praise God for such a wonderful blessing of restoration today!

Tonight, Kev gave his testimony at church, and even though I was able to go, I wasn't able to hear it! Tonight of all nights, baby Ruth, the most angelic squish girl in the world, came out of her shell. That hyper-shy little baby girl she used to be, is gone. She had to high-five everyone (and yes I do mean everyone), she had to wave, shake hands, talk to people, and constantly call for papa, from the back pew. She was such a distraction I had to take her down to the nursery before Kev started speaking. The speaker they have down there has such low volume, I was only able to catch bits and pieces of his testimony. I'm really glad they recorded it, I'll get to hear it tomorrow, and hopefully make an mp3 out of it to put on our site. I plan to play it in the chat room tomorrow - so if any of you would like to hear it, feel free to swing by and hang out with us.

To find us in chat, go to www.paltalk.com and download the free software. Once you've got it installed, and registered (it's real quick, simple stuff) login, go to the Christianity section, and scroll down to
5 Solas Bible Fellowship. I'll probably air it around 4:30pm eastern time, Monday.

It really turned out to be a blessed day.

SOLI DEO GLORIA!!!
